Details: Josie was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer just weeks after her 4th birthday this March.  She is being treated at Children's in Omaha and will continue treatment there for the next 2 1/2 years.  The estimated cost of travel during this time is $18,000.  All proceeds of this benefit will go towards offsetting these costs.

Name of Event: Give Forward Fundraiser
Details: Lamya Luckey is a typical 6 year old little girl, with a life yet to live. She is a kindergartner in Centura. Lamya had went to the doctor a month or so ago for headaches. They ran some test and found a tumor the size of  a lime on her brain. They took her straight to Omaha to have it removed. It turned out to be Medulloblastoma, which is a form of cancer. Its early but she will be in and out of radiation for at least a year and a half. The Give Forward fundraiser is to help the family with the expenses of travel and treatment as her mother Renee Luckey is unable to work during this. Details: In honor of the 100th birthday of the Lincoln Highway, the Lincoln Highway Association will host 2 days of events including a parade on The Bricks of Kearney on Saturday. Cars will begin arriving around 12:00 PM, and the parade will begin at 1:00 PM The cars in the parade will have started on each end of the country at the ends of the Lincoln Highway and converge in Kearney. After the parade the historic main street will come to life by decade, from 1913-1950’s, with the cars on display, historical characters, music, and food. There wil educational opportunities, concerts, and various events over the 2 days.
