Climbing a 3000 foot vertical wall with No Ropes

The movie Free Solo from National Geographic is out in select theaters and soon on movie channels. The movie films climbing phenom Alex Honnold accending the most famous granite wall in the world El Capitan of Yosemite National Park. He amazes me because I will never do this even with ropes. Climbing doesn’t interest me but his journey sure does! Here in this TED Talk video he explains how he accomplished this most amazing feat with only his hands, chalk and feet.

An Eagle Eye View and a Flying Suit View

Bomb Cyclone 2019 Downtown Kearney

The bomb cyclone storm of March 2019 I think will be remembered in Nebraska folklore like the Blizzards of 1888 and 1948-49.
