The first of two Husker Friday Night Light events is this Friday in Lincoln. Former head coach Mike Riley began the camps last June. The Husker’s “elite camp” is for “experienced, starting varsity players” entering Grades 10-12. A large list of top recruits from across the country showed up in Lincoln last year, working out in front of an estimated 3,000 fans. This Friday’s camp will feature just a few top Nebraska targets. Most of Nebraska’s 2018 recuiting class, and some targets from the 2018 and ’19 classes will be attending the June 23rd camp. Coach Frost says he’s considering a format similar to the one started by Riley. That could potentially mean some fan involvement. Admission is free. The event begins at this Friday night at 6:00.
